About this archive

Clark's Garage began as one enthusiast's effort to write down everything he learned keeping his Porsche 944 on the road — and grew into one of the most complete free repair resources for the transaxle cars.

Why this rebuild exists

The original site preserved an enormous amount of knowledge, but it was hard to navigate and hard to read on a phone in the garage. This archive carries that knowledge forward: the same procedures, cleaned up, searchable, multilingual, and built to stay useful for decades.

Standing on the shoulders of the community

The technical content continues the work of Clark Fletcher and the many owners who contributed corrections, photos and procedures over the years. It is offered freely, in that same spirit.
