944 Turbo Bumper Cover Removal

Steps for removing the front bumper cover from the 944 Turbo, requiring jack stands, belly pan removal, and disconnection of fog lights and turn signals.

Tools

  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • Metric socket set
  • Floor jack and jack stands

Procedure

  1. Raise the front of the vehicle on jack stands.
  2. Remove the belly pan.
  3. Remove the trim panel from the bottom of the bumper cover.
  4. Remove the turn signals and fog lights.
  5. Using a 10 mm socket and ratchet, remove the bolts on either side of the bumper cover that attach it to the front fenders.
  6. Remove the two bolts near the center of the bumper cover (10 mm). These can be located by looking up between the bumper cover and the A/C condenser.
  7. Slide the bumper cover off the front of the car.
