How Clark Became a 944 Owner
Clark Fletcher had wanted to own a Porsche since high school. Before the 944, he owned a succession of British sports cars — a 1967 MGB, 1974 MGB, 1977 MG Midget, and a 1968 Jaguar XKE Roadster — before moving on.
The path to the 944 came through a friend named Koda, who had recently acquired a 1985.5 944 Euro. After a test drive in the parking lot, Clark sold his Mustang GT and purchased a 1986 944 Turbo on January 27, 1993.
"If I had my way, I'd own one of every Porsche model ever built."
